Here's how Prabhas and Rana Daggubati reacted to Shah Rukh Khan's cameo in Baahubali 2

It was earlier reported that Shah Rukh Khan was going to do a cameo in Baahubali 2. Here's how Rana and Prabhas responded to the story.

As if the excitement surrounding the release of the SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali 2 alone wasn’t enough, reports suggested that Shah Rukh Khan was going to do a cameo in the film. Naturally, people got extremely excited only making it harder to wait for the film.

Sadly, they were only rumours. It was not only reported that Shah Rukh Khan has been roped in for a cameo in the film but also the kind of cameo it was going to be. It was alleged that the 51-year-old superstar will feature in an interesting sequence along with characters Baahubali (Prabhas) and Bhallaldeva (Rana Daggubati) and that he will be a peacemaker between these two cousins. People across the country got extremely curious and were eager to know if the news was true or not.

The official Twitter handle, however, cleared the air in the sweetest possible manner. “We would have loved to have @iamsrk in our movie! Who wouldn’t? But unfortunately, it’s a rumour! Not true! #Baahubali2,” Baahubali: The Conclusion’s Twitter handle said.

Meanwhile, the lead actors of the blockbuster movie, Prabhas and Rana Daggubati also dismissed the rumours stating that he was not a part of the film and these were only rumours. Prabhas said that the rumours were only a result of the constant speculations that have been doing rounds since the movie was such a big brand.

Affirming that SRK was not doing any cameo in the film, Rana Daggubati said, “He (Shah Rukh) is not part of the film. There is no cameo appearance. The world of Baahubali is different and it doesn’t have it (cameo appearances).”

The budget of Baahubali 2 is said to be Rs 200 crore and the film is reported to have earned Rs 500 crore already by selling satellite rights etc. The sequel will carry the first instalment’s story and is waited eagerly by many cine goers.
