Is Hrithik Roshan teaming up with Prabhudeva for a Telugu remake?

If the rumors are be believed, it will be Hrithik Roshan's first South remake as he has always shunned the idea of South Indian remakes.

South fans of Hrithik Roshan might have a reason to rejoice as the actor’s next is likely to have him in a Hindi remake of a Telugu film.

If recent reports are to be believed, then the Bollywood actor will team up with actor-turned-choreographer-turned-director Prabhudeva for the remake of a Telugu blockbuster. The film also marks the actor’s first South remake as Hrithik has always refused to do the remake of South films.

The actor’s last on-screen outing, Kaabil remains an average grosser. His Mohenjo Daro turned out to be a huge Box Office disaster. As per the reports, Hrithik had earlier planned to commence Krrish 4, but since it’s still in its early stages, the actor seems to have zeroed in on the Prabhudeva project.

Earlier, Bollywood superstars like Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar too had collaborated with Prabhudeva for Wanted and Rowdy Rathore, remakes of Telugu Blockbusters, Pokkiri and Siruthai. Both films went on to became Box Office success. Upon its theatrical release, while Wanted came as a big relief for Salman Khan after a series of flops, Rowdy Rathore still holds the record of being the top Akshay Kumar grosser.

Meanwhile, the lifetime run of Hrithik Roshan’s Kaabil has finally come to an end. The film, which had released on the 2017 Republic Day weekend managed to do decent business after an average opening at the Box Office. However, the fact can’t be denied that the film had missed a golden opportunity to score well due to the clash with Shah Rukh Khan starrer Raees at the Box Office. Directed by Sanjay Gupta and produced by Rakesh Roshan, Kaabil also featured Yami Gautam, Ronit Roy, and Rohit Roy.
