David Dhawan, Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu launched the theatrical trailer of Judwaa 2 at a grand event in Mumbai. The star-cast of the film interacted with the media and revealed that the film would not have been possible without the support of Salman Khan and Sajid Nadiadwala.
While many in the media speculated that the film would be a sequel to Judwaa, David Dhawan cleared the air once and for all. When the comedy king was asked to talk about the efforts taken by him to make Judwaa 2 look different from Judwaa, he said:
“It (Judwaa 2) is more of a reboot. I made the film again because I liked something in the original film (Judwaa). I was not writing a new script. There are some 8 – 10 scenes from Judwaa that I loved and that made me make this film. It is a very today’s film. We have shot it in London, the language is very different from Judwaa but we have retained two best songs from Judwaa album.”
It is a known thing by now that Salman Khan too is a part of Judwaa 2 as the superstar shot for a cameo recently in Mumbai. When Varun Dhawan was asked if Salman Khan would be a part of any of the promotional activities, the actor said: “No, I don’t think that would be possible. All I can say is, he is a part of the film as he has done a cameo.”
David Dhawan continued saying that Salman was gracious enough to shoot for the film with the cast and the team is thankful for his support. “He has already done his part very well for us. What more do you want yaar? ” explained David.
