Samuel L. Jackson totally wrecks Ryan Reynolds in The Hitman's Bodyguard red-band trailer

Ryan Reynolds and Samuel L Jackson totally hit it off in the latest red band trailer of upcoming action comedy film The Hitman’s Bodyguard.

Ryan Reynolds in an action film with Samuel L Jackson repeatedly dropping his favourite cuss word? I am sold! The red band trailer of Patrick Hughes action comedy film The Hitman’s Bodyguard literally has got it all. Contrasting with I Will Always Love You in Whitney Houston’s smooth, bluesy voice, the trailer is packed with car crashes, machine guns, explosions and a butt-load of more violence.

The film is pretty much what it says it is, about a hitman’s bodyguard, with Reynolds being the bodyguard and Jackson being the hitman. Aside from these two iconic actors, the film also stars Salma Hayek, Gary Oldman and Élodie Yung. Apparently, the hitman and the bodyguard were former rivals and will now team up to take down a dictator, played by Oldman. Oh, and FYI, Salma Hayek will be playing the role of Jackson’s wife. Did this film just get even more awesome or what?

Jackson’s prowess over the word ‘motherfucker’ is already well established but Reynolds can very much ace a bad-mouthed character. Seriously, how did we not notice this before Deadpool? Where has he been all these years?

In one scene from the excessively crass trailer, Jackson says, “I will bust a cap in your ass.” to his bodyguard in the driver’s seat. “Have you ever said, ‘Please?’,” Reynolds’ protective agent asks only to get slammed with a “Please, motherfucker!” from the hitman.

The Hitman’s Bodyguard is all set to hit the screens on August 18, 2017.
