The makers of 1971 Beyond Borders are leaving no stone unturned to make their film the most promoted Malayalam films of recent times

Malayalam actor Mohanlal’s much-awaited film 1971 Beyond Borders is slated to release tomorrow and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to make their film the most promoted Malayalam films of recent times. The film, touted to be a war thriller, is directed by Major Ravi and produced by Haneef Mohammed.

1971 Beyond Borders stars Mohanlal in dual roles. He will be seen playing the role of father and son —  Major Sahadevan and Major Mahadevan. The film also marks the fifth collaboration of Mohanlal-Major Ravi and fourth collaboration of the Major Mahadevan series after Keerthichakra, Kurukshetra and Kaandahar.

While the film is just hours away from its theatrical release, the makers have released the final motion poster of the film. The forty-nine-second long motion poster features Lalettan in three different sequences. The motion poster starts with Mohanlal as a family man and celebrating the Kavadi festival followed by his presence in a war zone chanting army slogans.

The motion poster also shows the Malayalam superstar as retired colonel Major Sahadevan. The poster ends on an impressive note by showing Mohanlal in his ‘trademark charming smile’. We bet you will re-watch the motion poster just to see that smile again!

1971 Beyond Borders stars Asha Sharath in the female lead and also marks the Malayalam debut of Telugu stars Allu Sirish, Srushti Dange and Bollywood actor Arunodhay Singh. The film also stars Renji Panicker, Saiju Kurup, Sudheer Karamana, Priyanka Agrawal, Neha Khan and Zoya Zayed Khan.
