Budget session begins after break in Parliament, PM Modi hopes for fruitful outcome on GST

The second session of the Budget will have debates from hate crime against Indians in US, violence in Ramjas college to a terror attack in Lucknow

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed media outside Parliament ahead of the Budget session’s second leg, commencing from March 9. He said, “I am hoping that the process of GST will be completed in this session itself as all states and parties have shown a positive approach towards it.”

The second session of the Budget will have debates from hate crime against Indians in United States, violence in Ramjas college to a terror attack in Lucknow.

Also, Home Minister Rajnath Singh is likely to make a statement in Parliament over the killing of a suspected ISIS terrorist in Lucknow and blast in Bhopal-Ujjain train in Madhya Pradesh.

Meanwhile, according to an India Today report, the ISIS men are on run and may be hiding in Delhi. Therefore, high security has been beefed up in Parliament.

A day after the ISIS suspect Saifullah was gunned down by the Anti-Terror Squad (ATS) Lucknow, the National capital has been put on red alert as massive terror attack has been predicted in New Delhi.

Congress who is furious over PM Modi’s ‘raincoat’ remark has demanded suspension of Parliament proceedings. Congress Vice President, Rahul Gandhi has demanded an apology from PM Modi for his ‘ugly remark’ against Manmohan Singh in Rajya Sabha.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar has also appealed to the Opposition to allow the Parliament to function smoothly.
