Shahid Afridi's last wish: Want to play my last match at Lahore

Well, Peshawar Zalmi is all poised to reach the finals, at least that is what Shahid Afridi feels.

Shahid Afridi has been arguably Pakistan’s biggest national hero since Imran Khan, of course. After years of putting people in a tizzy over his retirement, he finally retired a week back from cricket. He is hailed by many as a ‘once in a generation cricketer’, well that is his iconic status. He also does a whole lot of charity work and hence is a noble human being.

Now that he is a part of the ongoing Pakistan Cricket League representing the Peshawar Zalmi in Dubai. With latest inputs coming in the top brass of Pakistan Cricket Board has said that the finals of the league will be played in Lahore. Well, Peshawar Zalmi is all poised to reach the finals, at least that is what Shahid Afridi feels.

It is not clear if they make the cut to the finals but Shahid Afridi in the meanwhile has spoken his mind out without beating around the bush. In an interview to a Pakistan daily, he was quoted saying, “Decision to hold PSL final in Lahore is massive and I am really looking forward to it”.

It is also not clear that the other foreign stars like Chris Gayle and Kumar Sangakkara would be comfortable in travelling to Pakistan, with security concerns always playing spoilsport. Remember the Sri Lanka incident that happened long back while they were travelling in a bus to reach the stadium, shooting took place.

This is the major problem a terror-ridden nation like Pakistan face. Terror has always been a major concern with Pakistan.
