Sri Lanka v Australia, 3rd T20I preview: Can Emerald Isle nation whitewash the kangaroos?

It is rare you see a sub continental team thrashing Australia and going 2-0 up in a 3-T20I series. But it has happened and it could get worse if they lose today.

It is rare you see a sub continental team thrashing Australia and going 2-0 up in a 3-T20I series. But it has happened and it could get worse if they lose today. Australia whitewashed, surreal! After Asela Gunaratne heroics where he won them a match single-handedly from nowhere. The last loss must be haunting a second string Australian outfit where most of them are domestic cricketers, with only a few international players like Aaron Finch and James Faulkner, so it is a weak Australian team. On the other hand, Sri Lanka would be hoping to whitewash the Australians and create history in the process.

The Australians, who would be playing this dead rubber have nothing to loose, so they can go all guns blazing. Australia have big-hitters like Ben Dunk & Travis Head. Zampa and Tye would look to get wickets and impress the selectors. The match is being played at the Adelaide Oval, which is a small ground and considering that, it could be a high scoring affair. This also means the spectators would have a great time watching balls sail into the crowds. This is also going to be Sri Lanka’s first T20 match at this venue.
