Delhi Daredevils won the toss and to everyone’s surprise opted to bat first. Shreyas Iyer made a comeback in place of Aditya Tare. Karun Nair, another big player gloved one to Saha of the bowling of Varun Aaron. There was a lot of expectations from Shreyas Iyer, but his comeback was short-lived, he departed for 22. Promising Rishabh Pant got a start but could not carry on as he was out for 19.

Varun Aaron was expensive giving away 45 runs in his 4 overs, but he picked up two wickets. Axar Patel was extremely economical and that augured well for Kings XI Punjab. Morris got off to a breathtaking start but departed for 16 off 8. The pitch was on the slower side, but it was allowing stroke-making. Corey Anderson finally showed what he is capable of, clearing the ground with ease. Cummins and Anderson late order blitz took them to a par score. Kings XI Punjab will be hoping Eoin Morgan gets a good run today. Kings XI Punjab will require to get 189 when they come out to bat.
