Twitterati blame M Chinnaswamy Stadium as RCB vs SRH game gets called off post-rain!

M. Chinnaswamy Stadium failed to live up to expectations of fans as Royal Challengers Bangalore vs Sunrisers Hyderabad game gets called off

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) players must be miffed with the ‘Rain Gods’ as the play gets called off at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH). RCB fans on Twitter gave them a target to shoot at as they fear being knocked out of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2017 playoffs. We are not surprised by the Twitter reactions as M Chinnaswamy Stadium has been responsible for many games being called off in the history of IPL.

RCB were in a dire need of win in the 29th match of the tournament. Before the game, they had lost 2 out of 7 games with a horrendous net run rate, placed at the bottom of the IPL 2017 Standings. They needed a win to get that glimmer of hope to make it into playoffs of the tournament.

Now, it has come down to a stage where RCB need 6 out of 6 wins from their remaining games to keep their hopes of reaching the playoffs alive. In the previous match, RCB got outclassed by Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at Eden Gardens as they recorded their lowest score at 49.

The last time around Kohli got out for a first-ball-duck at Eden Gardens, though his dismissal was a controversial one. Kohli blamed the faulty side screen but this time around he had none to blame but ‘Rain Gods’.

RCB are currently placed at No. 6 in IPL 2017 Standings Table as one point each was distributed among the home team and SRH. Kohli was disappointed as there was nothing he could do at M Chinnaswamy Stadium to change the fate of the game.
