Watch: Umesh Yadav to turn spinner ahead of Champions Trophy, to learn techniques from Kuldeep Yadav

KKR's Yadav Brothers—Kuldeep and Umesh—were spotted having some chit-chat on the camera after the practice sessions

A day ahead of their next game against the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) at the Eden Gardens, there is a good news for the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) as pacer Umesh Yadav is back in the team. After losing their second game against the Mumbai Indians, the Kolkata boys will be eyeing on victory in their next game. One night before the showdown, the Yadav Brothers—Kuldeep and Umesh—were spotted having some chit-chat on the camera after the practice sessions.

The chat session began with Umesh Yadav asking his junior from Team India that how he started his career. In reply, Kuldeep said that since his childhood days, he wanted to be a baller and play for India. He revealed that in the initial days, he used to be a fast bowler but with the course of time he found his comfort zone in leg-spin bowling. He practised hard and gradually learned all the major techniques to be a Chinaman bowler. He also stated that he is lucky enough to play for the Indian side and wanted to make the most of this chance.

Both the bowlers promised each other that they will teach their bowling skills to each other. Umesh will teach the off and on swings to Kuldeep while the Chinaman would teach the pacer his spinning techniques.

After completing his part, Kuldeep tossed the same question to the senior Yadav of the team. In response, Umesh described his entire journey of fast bowling. He agreed with Kuldeep that to achieve something in life, hard work and continuous practice is the key. He also stated that after getting into Team India, he got full support from the coach and support staff including Anil Kumble and Sanjay Bangar. And the reason behind his impressive bowling in the last two years is his hard work and his will power.

Meanwhile, Kuldeep also asked, “You took a break of 10 days and now you are back in the team. What did you do during your break?”

To this question, Umesh said,”The break was much needed. And after returning on the nets, I practised for two days and tried to start the things from where I left. Playing in the home crowd will be fun and huge support is expected.”
