Donald Trump should step up & speak: Hillary Clinton on Kansas shooting

Indian techie, Srinivas Kuchibhotla, was shot dead in an apparent hate crime by an American man in Kansas who yelled,"Get out of my country" after shooting.

Days after 32-year-old Indian engineer, Srinivas Kuchibhotla, was killed in a shootout at a pub in Kansas, former United States Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton asserted that the hate crimes were on rise and that United state President Donald Trump should step up and take cognisance of the situation.

“With threats and hate crimes on rise, we shouldn’t have to tell Pres Trump to do his part. He must step up & speak out,” Clinton said. White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer also affirmed that even though the reports of Kansas killing is evolving, other reports coming from Kansas are equally disturbing.

Meanwhile, the mortal remains of Srinivas Kuchibhotla have been brought to India and the last rites will take place today in Hyderabad.

Yesterday, numerous people gathered Kansas City and conducted a peaceful candle march and prayer vigil to celebrate his life. This march was also attended by the friends of Srinivas while the other Indian who sustained injuries, Alok Madasani, in that attack was also present on his crutches. The priests from various religions conducted the prayer at the Hindu Temple in the city.

People who were gathered carried Kuchibhotla’s pictures, banners while they also chanted,”We want peace”; “We love peace”; “Let us not leave our children”; “Unity is part of community, together we stand, divided we fall”.
