#KaafiAmaze: 22-Year-Old Jharkhand Girl Takes Charge Of Australian High Commission For A Day

Hailing from a Maoist-affected village in Jamshedpur, Pari believes that education the most important to fight Naxalism.

A 22-year-old girl recently took the charge of the Australian High Commission for a day. An advocate by profession, Pari was selected by Plan India, a child rights NGO after winning in a United Nations’ event on International Day of Girl Child.

Hailing from a Maoist-affected village in Jamshedpur, Pari believes that education is the most important to fight Naxalism.

Praising Pari, Harinder Sidhu, Australian High Commissioner to India and Ambassador to Bhutan, said that it renews Australia’s commitment to gender equality.

While speaking to ANI, Pari said, “With proper education, one can fight against Naxalism and their beliefs. We should provide education to every child so that they can decide what’s right or wrong. With education, people would get to know out their rights.”

She further added, “I am very happy after serving as the Australian High Commissioner for a day. I hope I can inspire other children in my village to do the same and show their interest in education.” After coming back to her village, Pari got a grand welcome.”
