For many of us celebrating mother’s day has become a commercial and customary affair. You love your mother, you show it on Facebook, Instagram and other social media platforms. You take her out for dinner and immediately comes in the check in “eating dinner with mom”. The exhibitionism of it apart, the compulsion to doing something special for our mothers on a given day, takes away the novelty factor out of this day. Indeed, we must do something special for our mothers, be it on Mother’s Day on any other day of the year. But the fact remains, unless such love and affection is coming right from the bottom of our hearts, there is very little meaning to such acts. It is mostly reduced to a mere spectacle. For our mothers have been our co-passenger, our guide and our friend all our lives. They deserve something way more special and that is unadulterated love, the kind of love we showered on her when we had just taken our first step. So, we spoke to some little kids and asked them about their relationship with their mothers. And their responses are simply priceless.
