Digvijay Singh apologises for failing to form government in Goa

Money Power has won over People’s Power, says Digvijay Singh on party's failure

After its clear defeat in Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand against the Bharatiya Janata Party, the Congress party failed to prove majority in Manipur and Goa as well. And a day after Defence Minister and former chief minister of Goa Manohar Parrikar was invited to form government in Goa, Congress leader Digvijay Singh, who was overseeing the party’s affairs in Goa, gave his remark on this failure. First of all, he apologised for that the party couldn’t form the government in the state. Secondly, he asserted that the party would continue to resist communal forces in Goa.

On March 13, Singh took to his Twitter handle and wrote,”Money Power has won over People’s Power. I apologise to the People of Goa as we couldn’t muster the support to form the Govt.”
