A few days ahead of the state assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh, former Samajwadi Party Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav, on February 6, asserted that Akhilesh Yadav will continue to be the Chief Minister of the state and the situations withing the party are all good.
Mulayam also said that he will campaign for SP-Congress alliance ahead of the polls. Earlier, in a statement, Mulayam had said that he would campaign for his brother Shivpal Yadav first and later for Akhilesh.
While speaking to ANI, Mulayam said,”Shivpal naraz nahi hai. Kaun hai naraz? Koi bhi nahi hai. Amar Singh bhi naraz nahi hain. Koi matbhed nahi hai. Akhilesh hi hoga aglaa CM. Aur kaun hoga? (Neither Shivpal nor Amar Singh, nobody is upset. Everything withing the party is sorted nd Akhilesh will again be the CM)”

Now, this new statement of Netaji, claiming no feud in the party, came just a week after Shivpal announced that after March 11, he will form a new party. While addressing a rally in Etawah, on January 31, ahead of Uttar Pradesh elections, Shivpal had affirmed that he will campaign with the people who were not given tickets by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.
Shivpal had also taken several potshots on his nephew Akhilesh earlier saying he got everything due to luck and legacy whereas people like him who slogged all through for the Samajwadi Party were given a raw deal.
Meanwhile, the opposition parties like Bahujan Samaj Party claimed this Yadav family drama is nothing but a trick to deflect people’s mind. On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on February 4, termed the other parties as S.C.A.M which, according to him, stands for Samajwadi, Congress, Akhilesh, and Mayawati.
