About 2.28 crore voters will exercise their franchise during the second phase of polling in Uttar Pradesh on February 15. Of 2.28 crore voters, 1.23 crore are males. A total of 720 candidates are in the fray in 67 assembly constituencies spread across 11 districts.
Of the 67 seats, the Samajwadi Party to fight on 34, Mayawati-led Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) 17, and the Bharatiya Janata Party on 10 and the Congress on four.
Polling will take place in Sambhal, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Amroha, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, Shahjahanpur, Bijnore, Saharanpur and Budayun districts.
The maximum number of 28 candidates are in Kaanth constituency and the least (5) in Ghanaura. The staggered battle to pick a 403-seat Uttar Pradesh assembly began on February 11 when 73 constituencies went to the polls.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi and BSP chief Mayawati campaigned extensively for this phase of polls.

Earlier in the day, BSP supremo Mayawati alleged that BJP is spreading rumours that it will form government with her party after Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.

On February 14, a total of 63 percent of voters came out to exercise their franchise in the first phase of Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.
The highest turnout was seen in Aligarh (55.85 per cent), Mathura (55.42 per cent), Etah (55.01 per cent) and Meerut (55 per cent), followed by Bulandshahr (54.51 per cent), Baghpat and Muzaffarnagar (both 54 percent).
