The BJP established a strong lead over the ruling Congress in Uttarakhand as officials counted the votes polled in assembly elections

Polling held for 67 assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh and 69 assembly seats in Uttarakhand.

“A total of 10,685 polling booths have been made for the 75,13,547 voters in Uttarakhand,” an election official said.
Mahendra Bhatt was selected to contest elections against Congress’ sitting MLA Rajendra Singh Bhandari from Badrinath.
