Karan Johar, who recently became a proud dad to twins Roohi and Yash have extended the hand of friendship towards singer Sonu Nigam. KJo and Sonu were not on talking terms after a dialogue of Anushka Sharma from Karan’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil didn’t go down well with Sonu Nigam.
The dialogue which says, Mohammed Rafi? Woh gaate kam rote zyada the na? was not very appreciated by the late singer’s fans, including Sonu Nigam. The dialogue led to a heated and sarcastic twitter exchange between the two, after which things turned sour.
But it seems like both of them has now sorted it out and there is no bad blood between the two. In an interview with Bombay Times, when Sonu was asked about his equation with Karan he told that people exaggerate small issues and make them big. The singer also said that after this Twitter row he never got a chance to meet the filmmaker, and his tweet was only as a fan of Mohammed Rafi and not as any anti-Karan person.
In fact, Sonu paid a tribute to Karan Johar by singing three of his hit numbers that he sang for KJo’s films, at the recently held Mirchi Music Awards. After the event, both Karan and Sonu hugged each other hinting that they have let bygones be bygones.
Sonu was also asked why he didn’t sort out the matter personally, to which the singer replied that neither he nor Karan felt the need to do so. He further added: You do that when you either feel guilty or are in need of that person.
Well, now that the Karan Johar and Sonu Nigam have become friends, we are really looking forward to see these two team up again and give us some unforgettable and amazing numbers.
