Recently, it has been reported that Sanjay Dutt quit from the upcoming film Total Dhamaal due to unavailability of dates as well as his issue with the film’s adult comedy. Now, the one who is expected to essay the main lead is none other than Ajay Devgn. As per the latest report, the Shivaay actor has roped in to play the lead in the third installment of the Dhamaal franchise.
Confirming the news, Indra Kumar said: ” Ajay, my partner Ashok Thakeria, and I have had a fabulous association. Ishq is still one of the most successful comedy films in Bollywood and here we are, 20 years later, with another family entertainer. The Dhamaal franchise has a strong fan following. Ajay’s association makes it even more special. ”
This is not the first time Ajay and Indra are collaborating for any film, they have earlier worked in films like Ishq and Masti.
Talking about Devgn’s third outing with Kumar, a source close to him said that Ajay is glad to reunite for the upcoming comedy. The full and final cast of the film has not been revealed yet, but it is being said that apart from Ajay Devgn, Riteish Deshmukh will definitely be seen in the film.

The third installment, Total Dhamaal, was expected to roll out this year, but the fact that Sanjay is unavailable has caused the film some delay.

On the work front, Ajay was last seen in his directorial Shivaay. Apart from Total Dhamaal, he also has films like Baadshaho and Golmaal Again in his kitty. He is currently busy shooting for the Rohit Shetty directorial. Golmaal Again, which is the fourth installment of the Golmaal franchise directed by Rohit Shetty stars Tabu, Parineeti Chopra, Arshad Warsi, Shreyas Talpade, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Kunal Kemmu and Tusshar Kapoor.
