Baadshaho: Shoot of Ajay Devgn's film delayed for 10 days following demonitisation

Ajay Devgn has openly praised PM Modi's demonitisation scheme. But the shoot of his own film, Baadshaho, is suffering from the policy.

Apart from affecting common men’s daily schedule, the new demonitisation policy has also created a lot of hustle-bustle in the film industry too. While a few films have shifted their release dates, a few others have also postponed their shoot schedule. The latest is Ajay Devgn starrer Baadshaho. The film which is being directed by Milan Luthria also features Emraan Hashmi, Esha Gupta, Vidyut Jammwal and Ileana D’Cruz apart from Ajay.

The shoot schedule of Baadshaho has been postponed from November 19 to November 29. The team has decided to take the step because they want to pay the junior artistes on the sets in cash on daily basis. Therefore, after settling down things in 10 days, the team will resume the shoot.

Talking about the same, Milan told a daily that the production team is trying hard to settle everything quickly and the junior artistes on the sets should not suffer. He also expressed gratitude for the actors working in the film for understanding the issues arising. He said that the stars didn’t create any ruckus in shifting their dates of shoot last minute.

Interestingly, despite all the issues his film is facing due to the new currency uproar, Ajay Devgn has openly praised PM Modi’s demonitisation step to curb black money and corruption in the country, Talking about the same of late, he said:

“You really need guts to take a step like this. Hats off (to the PM) as this will be beneficial in the long run. Even my film is suffering because of this but in front of the nation’s interest, I find this inconvenience trivial. Whenever change takes place, common man faces problems. People from my office are standing in queues and willing to face problems for a better future.”

Written by Rajat Arora and co-produced by T-series, Baadshaho is slated for release on May 12 next year.
