The theatrical run of SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Conclusion has finally come to an end. The war drama, which had released across the UAE cinemas on April 27 had its final screening on Thursday. Upon its release Baahubali 2 had shattered all Indian records including highest opening day, highest opening weekend, week, fastest Rs10 crore, Rs 25 crore, Rs 50 crore at the UAE Box Office. In fact, within 25-theatrical days, Baahubali 2 has garnered nearly Rs 75 crore from UAE Box Office alone.
Similar to its Indian theatrical release, Baahubali 2 too released simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi languages and the response was record breaking from the very first show. The film was all set to be the first Rs 100 crore grosser in UAE, but the massive termination of shows post one-month of its theatrical release has worked against the film.
By the end of it’s total theatrical run of 56 days, Baahubali 2 had grossed close to Rs 80 crore in UAE. The SS Rajamouli film failed to cross the 75-theatrical days record set by the 2015 Salman Khan blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan. However, Baahubali 2 managed to emerge as the 5th highest running film at the UAE Box Office.
Have a look at the 5 highest running films at the UAE Box Office:
1) Drishyam – Malayalam – 125 days
2) Titanic – English – 110 days
3) Pulimurugan – Malayalam – 98 days
4) Bajrangi Bhaijaan – Hindi – 75 days
5) Baahubali 2 – Telugu – 56 days
Baahubali 2 features Prabhas, Anushka Shetty, Rana Daggubati, Sathyaraj and Ramyakrishnan.
