If you think after Pahlaj Nihalani being sacked from Censor Board would lessen the chopping of scenes in film, then you might need to give it a second thought. The new chief of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), Prasoon Joshi has ordered 12 cuts in Sanjay Dutt and Aditi Rao Haydari starrer Bhoomi just ahead of it’s release. CBFC has ordered to chop off Sunny Leone’s dance number Trippy Trippy and some cuss words. Aslo, it has ordered some dialogue replacements in the film.
According to the reports published bya leading daily, the Cesor Board has ordered cuts on Sunny’s dance number. It has only allowed the portion that the audience has seen on television in the film. Not only this,the CBFC has also recuced the timing of Aditi’s rape scenes in the film. Also, words like saali, Asaram, ganda pani, a courtroom kissing scene and some dialogues replacement have been asked.
Sharing his mind on the move of Censor Board, Omung Kumar, the director of the film said “I knew this was going to happen. It is a sensitive subject, so we have gone ahead and done the needful.’’

Bhoomi does have a lot of violence, and changes were made in that, too. Omung further adds, “there were some scenes where blood is seen. I have done films like Mary Kom and Sarabjit, so I was prepared for it.”
Bhoomi marks the comeback of Baba on the silver screen. The film also features Aditi, Sharad Kelkar, Shekhar Suman among others in pivotal roles. The film is an emotional revenge drama based on a father and daughter relationship. It is scheduled to hit the theatres on September 22.
