The eleventh season of the much-awaited reality show of this year Bigg Boss is all set to kick start. The show has already created a lot of buzz for all the speculations around its contestants’ list. Now, if the latest rumours have anything to go by, Splitsvilla‘s Gaurav aka Gauri Arora is all set to participate in the upcoming show. With this, he will become the first transgender contestant to take participate in this season of the show, which will air on October 1. Celebrities including Nia Sharma, Abhishek Malik and Nikitin Dheer among others have already been rumoured to be a part of the show and the latest addition of Gauri will only spice things up.
Confirming the news of being approached for Bigg Boss 11, Gauri said: “Yes I have been approached for the show, but nothing has been finalised.” While the reports also suggested that she will join the show with her boyfriend Parth, Gauri denied such claims.
Other transgender contestants on Bigg Boss included Bobby Darling, Rohit Verma among others.
Earlier, talking about his transformation, Gauri had talked to a leading daily and explained that it wasn’t an easy decision. She said:
“As a young boy, I was drawn to my mum’s and sister’s clothes and make-up and would often wear them. Many times, I would be scolded for putting on heels to go visit relatives. My family were aware of how I was but they didn’t want to acknowledge it. They didn’t approve of my behaviour and they were worried about how people would react. I think it would have been easier if we weren’t as wealthy with so many important connections. But they found it very difficult to accept me.”

Gaurav had confessed to being bisexual on MTV Splitsvilla. He took the internet by storm with his transformation. According to several media reports, he had not undergone any surgery. He just had gone through a laser treatment and removed her body hair to attain a feminine body.
