The Deols are back with the third instalment of the Yamla Pagla Deewana franchise. Directed by Navneet Singh, the film recently went on floors in Hyderabad and the makers are now looking to release the film in the first half of 2018.
While interacting with us, Bobby Deol promised that unlike the second part, Yamla Pagla Deewana 3 would not disappoint the audience and was confident that legendary actor, Dharmendra, would play a character in the film that will surprise the audience. Talking about Yamla Pagla Deewana 3, Bobby said,
“Yamla Pagla Deewana 2 was a bad film. I personally disliked the film when I watched it and I think it didn’t shape up the way we wanted it to. I guess, things just don’t work the way they have to sometimes, but the third one which we are making will definitely not disappoint. I can’t talk about it much because we just started shooting for it.”
The actor also revealed that Dharmendra would essay the character of a lawyer in the film.
“Bhaiya (Sunny Deol) and Me are playing brothers in the film but Daddy (Dharmendra) is not playing our father. He is playing a lawyer in it and his character is amazing. It’s just him and his personality that would make the difference. I have an amazing relationship with his character in the film just like the first part. It is directed by Navneet, who has directed a lot of good Punjabi films and written by Dhiraj, who has written quite a few Punjabi films. We are looking to release in 2018.”
The movie would see Dharmendra, Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol reunite for the fourth time after Apne, Yamla Pagla Deewana and Yamla Pagla Deewana 2.
