Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Varun Dhawan, Akshay Kumar, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra sent best wishes on Independence Day

As India celebrates 70 years of freedom today on August 15, a string of Bollywood celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Varun Dhawan, Farhan Akhtar, Akshay Kumar, Anupam Kher and Rishi Kapoor among others posted their wishes on twitter. While Big B took to twitter and posted a video of him saluting the National flag, Varun posted an emotional message. The Dilwale actor also posted a video in which he can be seen singing a song from 1997 release Border. 

Sharing the video, Varun wrote: “Happy Independence Day. Today we can enjoy this day only because of our Jawans who sacrifice their lives for us, Jai Hind.”

Akshay Kumar, who never leaves a chance to shows his love for the soldier posted: “This Independence Day let’s pledge to support our soldiers. Visit https://bharatkeveer.gov.in to extend your support. We owe them this much.”

Priyanka Chopra, who is away from India busy working for her Hollywood project also made it a point by sending out her best wishes on this Independence Day. Sharing the image on twitter, the Bajirao Mastani actress tweeted: “Independence Day Vibes, My Heart Belongs To India Happy Independence Day India. Jai Hind.”

Meanwhile, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan celebrated the day along with her daughter Aaradhya Bachchan. In the pictures shared by Taran Adarsh, Aishwarya can be seen hoisting the national flag in Melbourne to mark the celebrations. Take a look here:
