Sidharth Malhotra’s A Gentleman fell flat at the Box Office on its second day as the film raked in Rs 4.36 crore on Saturday taking the two day total to Rs 8.40 crore. The film should have shown some sort of growth on its second day, however the collections prove that the film has faced outright rejection from the audience and stands no chance to even reach a respectable total.
The collections of the Raj and DK directorial was affected by the situation in North India, but one can’t deny the fact that the film has performed poorly all across. The budget of A Gentleman is Rs 60 crore and the makers recovered approximately Rs 35 crore from the sale of satellite, music and digital rights. A Gentleman would have been a safe bet for Fox Star Studios at collections close to Rs 50 crore in India, however as things stand today, the movie is looking to end its run below Rs 25 crore.
The makers would fail to recover even the print and publicity cost from the theatrical share, which proves the magnitude of a disaster. The biz should escalate a bit on Sunday and the film is looking for opening weekend collection in the range of Rs 14 crore.

The film has been made on a moderate budget, however despite that, recovery seems difficult. The weekend total of this Nawazuddin Siddiqui film will be close to Rs 5 crore, however it is unlikely to show a positive trend over the weekend.
