Aamir Khan’s upcoming film Dangal is based on the lives of wrestler Mahavir Phogat and his daughters Geeta and Babita who have won national accolades. The actor along with his team Dangal recently attended the marriage of national wrestler Geeta Phogat in Haryana. The whole village was there to witness the auspicious occasion and people were happy to see Aamir Khan attend the event.
Some even joked that they get to see ‘doh-doh mahaveer‘! Team Dangal made sure to bless the bride and the groom. When someone asked Aamir Khan about the wedding gift, the actor did make sure to bring one!
Aamir Khan quipped that the movie Dangal is the wedding gift to Geeta Phogat. He also added that he planned to give a bridal gown to the bride but couldn’t do it due to ‘traditional reasons’ as the gown is given by the maternal uncle of the bride. Now, that is really sweet of Aamir!
