Adnan Sami revealed the first poster of this upcoming movie Afghan: In Search Of Home and his fans in Afghanistan got really excited

Adnan Sami, the voice behind many melodious numbers, is now making his acting debut. The singer will be seen in a lead role in a movie titled Afghan: In Search Of Home. The first poster of the movie was released a short while ago and it made Afghan fans of the singer happy. They took to Twitter to express their joy and thanked Adnan Sami for taking up a movie on their country’s culture.

The movie’s poster introduced Adnan in a never-seen-before avatar. Donning a turban and beard, Adnan can be seen playing an instrument, much like his real life persona. The movie will be directed by Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru. In the film, Adnan will be shown as a musician who searches for his roots in an emotional journey.

Now that the singer is debuting as an actor, it is left to be seen how he takes on this job. Pakistani-born Adnan Sami was given Indian citizenship last year. The singer was given citizenship after he met all conditions of the government. The Indian citizenship of Adnan Sami created a lot of buzz and the singer was asked why he sought citizenship in India. “I am a very emotional person. If someone lovingly asks me for my life, I’ll give it up. Indians have given me immense and unconditional love and I am very grateful. That was why I decided to apply for an Indian citizenship,” Adnan Sami had said.

Even after the surgical strikes across LoC last year, Adnan had said that Indian army did away with miscreants when Pakistan failed to act. This had got him trolled on social media by Pakistani Twitter users.

However, Adnan has always been vocal about his thoughts and now by starring in a movie that talks about culture of Afghanistan, he has proved he doesn’t care what other people think of him.
