Sriram Raghavan’s Andhadhun is unstoppable in China, breaking the 300-crore barrier over the weekend. During its course, the Hindi film even overtook Hollywood superstar vehicle, Shazam. The film starring Ayushmann Khurrana, has become the actor’s second blockbuster after Badhaai Ho. With its golden run in China, Andhadhun has now joined the esteemed list of the top 5 earning Hindi films in China. The list is as follows:
#5 Hindi Medium
The Irrfan-starrer earned a reported Rs 230 crore in China, more than tripling its domestic run.
#4 Bajrangi Bhaijaan
Salman Khan’s most successful film of his career did some monster business in China, that was estimated at Rs 300 crore.
#3 Andhadhun
Leaving behind both Salman Khan & Irrfan in its second week, Sriram Raghavan’s film is showing no signs of stopping. Trade experts are predicting a smooth run till about Rs 350 crore for sure.
#2 Secret Superstar
Aamir Khan’s little sleeper-hit of a Diwali release, went on to encash on Khan’s glorious street-cred. Advait Chandan’s film grossed more than 800 crore in China, more than 10 times of its domestic run.
#1 Dangal
Aamir’s biggest film till date, Dangal made an estimated Rs 1300 crore in China, majorly contributing to the film’s global box office of around Rs 2000 crore.
