After films like Kick and Dabangg, Salman Khan feels that one can’t fool audience by ‘glamour and action’ in movies

Salman Khan says one can not fool the audience by just adding glamour and action in the movie. Did he indirectly take a dig at action director Rohit Shetty?

After performing daredevil stunts in films like Dabangg and Kick, Salman Khan now feels that one can not fool the audience by just adding action sequences in the movie. Taking an indirect jibe at director Rohit Shetty, Salman was reported saying that if there is no story in the film, it will be really hard for the audiences to connect with the film. He was quoted reported as saying that audience cannot be fooled with glamour, action and expensive flying cars.

Salman Khan said it was really crucial for the audience to connect with the movie. He added that while making a movie everyone thinks they are making a Sholay or Mughal-E-Azam but that is not true on all the occasions.

“I am the son of a writer, and I understand that you will need a good script and even if the making is not so great, the film does well because people can follow the story. But when there is no story and only style in the making, the film tends to get off the screens sooner because the audience does not find any story to link to in the movie,”

These statements of Salman can be seen as an indirect dig at Rohit Shetty.  The director has an impression of using expensive cars in his movies and using them for high-octane scenes.
