Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt have a successful on-screen chemistry. Having made their Bollywood debut together in Karan Johar’s Student Of The Year, the duo shared the screen space in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and this year’s release Badrinath Ki Dulhania. Both the films have done exceptionally well at the Box Office.
However, there is sad news for the fans of both the actors. It is reported that both Varun and Alia have decided not to work together for some time. According to a leading news website, it is none other than their mentor Karn Johar who has advised the duo to avoid doing a film together so that their on-screen magic remains alive.
Sources told the website that both the actors have three films together. While Varun has eight films to his credit, Alia has done nine films so far. With three successive hits together, both the stars have decided to take a break. Currently, Varun is gearing up for the promotions of Judwaa 2, a sequel to the 1997 hit that featured Salman Khan in the titular role. Releasing on September 29, the second installment also features Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu in lead roles.
Earlier, Mumbai Mirror in June had reported that Varun and Alia would reunite for the fourth time in Abhishek Varman’s Shiddat. It was said that the 2 States director had approached both the stars for the film and the trio is believed to be working on the script. Also, there were talks that the makers were trying to chalk out a schedule that would be convenient to both the actors. Shiddat is said to have two male leads with names of Aditya Roy Kapur and Arjun Kapoor doing the rounds. But it seems that the fans will have to wait for a longer time.
