Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s father Krishnaraj Rai has been admitted at the Mumbai’s Leelavati Hospital. Mr Rai has been in the hospital for two weeks now and was shifted to ICU after his condition deteriorated. Aishwarya and husband Abhishek Bachchan were seen outside the hospital and pictures surfaced on the Internet.
Last month, Aishwarya had to return from her Dubai vacation when she learnt about the bad health condition of her father.
A source in the know said that Aishwarya is continuously keeping a tab on her father’s health. He added Aishwarya did all by herself as Abhishek was in New York. As soon as he landed in India, Abhishek visited his father-in-law. The insider told a leading daily that Aishwarya was checking on her father’s health even during the school functions of daughter Aaradhya.
Another source added Aishwarya is constantly juggling between taking care of her father and giving time to her daughter.
We are hoping Mr Rai recovers soon.
On the work front, Aishwarya was last seen in Karan Johar’s Ae Dil Hai Mushkil in which she played the role of a poetess named Saba. Her portrayal got her appreciation from critics and viewers. Almost everyone lauded Ash for breaking stereotypes as she picked up the role of woman who fell in love with a younger man.
Also, there are various reports about Aishwarya coming together for a film with husband Abhishek. The film is said to be directed by Anurag Kashyap. Though there is no official confirmation on the matter, the film is said to be a rom-com and is tentatively titled Gulab Jamun. Grapevine is also abuzz that Aishwarya and Abhishek loved the script. It is left to be seen if the much talked about reunion of Abhi and Ash on silver screen happens or not. Only time has the answer.
