Ajay Devgn was the first person to announce a film based on the infamous Battle of Saragarhi. After Devgn’s announcement, Salman Khan and Karan Johar also announced a film based on the same subject which led to the speculations of a fall out between Khan and Devgn.
However, later on, it was reported that Salman Khan was misinformed by his management team that his friend, Ajay Devgn had shelved the film based on the battle of Saragarhi. After talking to Ajay Devgn, when Salman learned that Battle of Saragarhi was Devgn’s dream project, he decided to back out of the co-production with Karan Johar.
In an interview for the promotions of Baadshaho, when Ajay Devgn was asked if Salman Khan making a film on the same subject affects him, the actor cleared the air by saying that Khan was no longer a part of that film.

“Salman Khan is not making Battle of Saragarhi. I am not too sure if somebody else is making it or no. I am making the film for sure but I will take some time. I have always maintained that the film would be made on a very big scale and I will need at least two years time for that film,” Said Devgn.

“I have no clue, but it doesn’t matter to me. If anyone wants to make it, they can make it and release it as well. I will release my film after them, but I am making the film for sure.”
