Khiladi Akshay Kumar has finally begun shooting for his wife Twinkle Khanna’s maiden production venture Padman and we are really happy about it. The movie was in news ever since its announcement and grabbed headlines for its unconventional storyline.
Padman marks the debut of Twinkle’s banner Mrs Funnybones Movies and the film is helmed by none other than R. Balki. The concept of the film is really unique and inspiring, so and so that it has left us all curious and excited at the same time.
The film will showcase Arunachalam’s journey of finding a way to make cheap, affordable sanitary napkins for women in his village. Akshay Kumar will play the lead role in the film and the character of his wife will be portrayed by Radhika Apte.
This is for the first time that Akshay and Radhika will be seen sharing the screen space and most of the shooting will take place in a village near Indore. Akshay on Tuesday took to Twitter and shared the first picture from the shooting location. The actor can be seen holding his wife Twinkle’s hand as they overlook a water body.
The actor captioned the picture: Embarking on a new journey, this time with the Mrs. First day of Padman. After which Twinkle Khanna retweeted the post and wrote: And so it begins #Padman
Akshay Kumar has four movies coming out this year including Jolly LLB 2 which has turned out to be the biggest hits of 2017 and has broken many records. The actor has also recently finished shooting for Toilet: Ek Prem Katha opposite Bhumi Pednekar which is a satirical comedy on PM Narendra Modi’s Swach Bharat Abhiyan. Akshay’s other film 2.o opposite Rajinikanth features him in the role of a villain and is all set to hit the screens on October 18 this year.
