So, it’s happening again. When Prasoon Joshi took over as the new Censor Board chief, he promised to bring out some positive changes. But the latest reports don’t exactly support this. Apparently, reports suggest that Judwaa 2, which is releasing on September 29, is allegedly having a hard time getting the clearance certificate from CBFC. A leading entertainment portal has reported that director David Dhawan has been asked for an NOC (No Objection Certificate) in order to use Alia Bhatt’s name in his film.
There’s a reference to Alia Bhatt and her filmmaker dad, Mahesh Bhatt in Judwaa 2 and CBFC is expecting David Dhawan to get an NOC from Alia and Mahesh before using their names in the film. Everyone knows Varun and Alia are great buddies and this news is sort of surprising. And while one supposes that there won’t be any problem in Varun taking Alia’s name in his film, CBFC has reservations for the same. The two have worked together in hit films like Student Of The Year, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania.
The report says, “they (Censor Board) wanted an NOC from Alia before she can be mentioned in Judwaa 2. Nadiadwala and Dhawan argued that Alia was his buddy and therefore it wasn’t going to be a problem. But the CBFC was adamant. Friend or foe, you have to get an NOC from all living persons who are mentioned in the film.”

The Censor Board is in no mood to take no for an answer.
Judwaa 2 stars Varun Dhawan, Jacqueline Fernandez and Taapsee Pannu in the lead roles. The film will also see Salman Khan in a special appearance. The movie directed by David Dhawan is slated to hit the big screen on September 29.
