Amitabh Bachchan is known as Shehanshah of Bollywood. In his four-decade-long career, he boasts of huge popularity beyond territories. Big B is also active on social media and is quite vocal on various issues. Recently, the 75-year-old legend reached a milestone of 25 million followers on Twitter.
The Piku actor expressed his happiness on achieving the feat. “ARRE HAAN .. MAIN TOH DEKHNA BHOOL HI GAYA .. 25 MILLION .. YEEEAAAAHHHHHHH 25 MILLION … !!!!” he posted.
At present, Bachchan falls short behind Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who boasts of a whopping 27.1 million followers on Twitter. It is another fact that Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) official Twitter handle has 16 million followers. However, US president Donald Trump has only 24.9 million followers.
Shah Rukh Khan has 23.4 million followers and our King Khan is ahead of Sultan actor Salman Khan who has 21.5 million fans. Akshay Kumar, whose latest release Jolly LLB 2 shattered several records at the box within few days of its theatrical release, has 16.1 million followers. On the other hand, Tamil superstar Rajinikanth has 3.59 million followers on Twitter.
As said earlier, Amitabh Bachchan never leaves an opportunity to express his opinion on important events. He tweeted on the occasion of PSLVC37’s launch from Sriharikota rocket port in Andhra Pradesh.
Amitabh Bachchan was last seen in Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury’s Pink last year wherein he played a lawyer Deepak Sehgal. Prior to that, he won the National Award for Best Actor for his role of Bhashkor Banerjee in Deepika Padukone-starrer Piku in 2015.
He will be donning the role of Subhash Nagre in the third instalment of Ram Gopal Varma’s gangster trilogy Sarkar, which releases on 7 April. He will share screen space with Manoj Bajpayee, Jackie Shroff, Ronit Roy and Yami Gautam in the film.
