After the debacle of Sarkaar 3, Ram Gopal Verma is now coming up with a web series by the name Guns & Thighs and from the looks of it, it seems to be the director’s boldest work yet. A six-minute long trailer has been put out on YouTube and despite being devoid of any popular faces, makes a stunning impact on a viewer. Interestingly enough, when Ram Gopal Verma showed the trailer to his actor friend Amitabh Bachchan, he suggested Ramu to not go ahead with it.
Apparently, Big B was shocked to his very core with the usage of ghastly graphics and gruesome dialogues. In a scene in the trailer, a child’s face is shown to be splashed with blood after a shot is fired. Then, in a first in an Indian web series, a woman is shown to be naked. The words used by the characters in the series are way cruder than those you hear in an Anurag Kashyap movie.
Now, we could understand that it would have been difficult for Big B to digest this. However, this sort of content always appeals to netizens and so, Ramu has decided to proceed with it.

Coming up with a web series seems to be becoming a trend with the Bollywood directors. We have already seen how Vikram Bhatt had a successful run with Maaya and then produced a bunch of series for his YouTube channel.
What may be tempting the directors to make a web series is the fact that there is no censorship on the internet. They have all the freedom to show anything that they want as they know there is no Pahlaj Nihalani sitting down their neck. If Guns & Thighs would have been a feature film, there’s no way Ramu could have had such explicit scenes and grisly words in it.
