Arshad Warsi has been roped in to dub for Hollywood actor Johnny Depp’s popular character Captain Jack Sparrow for the Hindi version of upcoming fantasy film Pirates of the Caribbean: Salazar’s Revenge. Arshad himself confirmed the news on Twitter. Talking about the movie, Arshad said he was very fond of the character.
“I am very fond of this character. I really like Jack Sparrow. The moment I saw Pirates of the Caribbean, I became a fan of the character. It’s a major challenge to do this. It’s not easy to dub him,” Arshad told an agency over phone from Mumbai.
“It was a challenge to dub him (Depp) when he was drunk in the scenes. It’s hard to play a drunk man. Altogether, I am fond of this franchise and looking forward to more of it,” added Arshad, who is currently shooting for Golmaal Again.
Depp will return with the fifth instalment of the popular Pirates Of The Caribbean franchise. The film, which will also feature Javier Bardem, Brenton Thwaites, Kaya Scodelario, Kevin McNally and Geoffrey Rush, will be released in India by Walt Disney Pictures and Jerry Bruckheimer Films on May 26.

Here is the trailer of the movie for you:
Arshad is currently filming for Golmaal Again. The actor has been a constant in all the movies of the Golmaal franchise. Directed by Rohit Shetty, Golmaal Again stars Ajay Devgn, Kunal Kemmu, Tusshar Kapoor, Johnny Lever, Tabu and Parineeti Chopra in pivotal roles.
Recently when Arshad was asked about being absent from the silver screen for really long, he said, “I was jobless for three years. Luckily Maria (wife) had a job, so we were fine, the bills were being paid. But for three years I had absolutely no films. I did odd jobs, but I did no films. You get insecure or worried if you don’t know your job. If you know it, sooner or later everybody will realise that. You can put up an act for some time but after those people will understand.”
