Arunabh Kumar—the CEO of digital entertainment channel The Viral Fever (TVF)—who has been accused of sexual harassment by a video production professional, used to allegedly brush his arm against her waists during the shoot, the victim said in a charge sheet filed in the sexual harassment case against him.
The woman said that her company was roped in with Kumar for shooting a promotional feature as well as an interview. In the charge sheet, she alleged that the TVF founder’s gestures made her really uncomfortable. He would reportedly stare at her, change his shirt before her and even brushed his arm against her waist on the pretext of watching the shot on the monitor. On one occasion, Kumar even touched the tattoo on her shoulder, calling it “sexy”.
The charge sheet filed by MIDC police in Mumbai does not include the statement given by the woman’s friend who stays in Bengaluru. The woman in the 272-page document alleged that Kumar used to invite her to his home to ‘watch the sequences’ they shot, Mumbai Mirror reported. The victim also said she and her company were under tremendous stress as they weren’t in a position to walk out of the shoot.
These allegations have been made by a woman who had lodged a complaint against Kumar, leading to his arrest under sections 352 and 509 of the Indian Penal Code last month. He was later released on a bail. Kumar was also booked in a separate molestation case at Versova Police Station in Mumbai.
