Pop sensation Justin Bieber has finally landed in India and all his fans are dying to see him perform live at Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium at night. And not only the singer but the entire film industry is super excited to attend his Purpose India Tour concert. While many of his fans from Bollywood are making customized gifts for Bieber, his concert also gave birth to a controversy and actress Sonakshi Sinha fell prey to it.
With many Bollywood actors performing at the concert, rumours had it that the organisers also approached actress Sonakshi Sinha to perform on stage. But singer Kailash Kher’s statement stirred a lot of controversies and after much drama, Sonakshi confirmed that she was never performing at the concert and it was all a baseless rumour.
While many B-Town celebs decided to not comment on the whole issue, actor Ayushmann Khurrana came out in support of Sonakshi Sinha and said that it was just a commercial aspect. In an interview with Bollywood Life, the actor told that lip-synching songs is a very common tradition in India unlike the West and nothing can be done about it. He further added: ”So I think the decision was for the visual element and the commercial aspect. An actor will always be more saleable than a singer. It has always been that way. Is it right or wrong, we can debate about it.”
