Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi, Ileana D’ Cruz and Esha Gupta will be seen in Milan Luthria’s Emergency era thriller Baadshaho. The much-awaited Mere Rashke Qamar song from the film is out and music lovers are reminded of late Sufi singer Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan.
The song has been sung, composed and lyrics by the late singer and is picturised on Ajay Devgn and Ileana D Cruz. A portion of the romantic number has also been crooned by his nephew Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. The song also has Ileana going topless for a scene and kissing Devgn, who plays Bhawani Singh in the film.
Baadshaho is set against the backdrop of Emergency, and is about six robbers who loot a truck containing gold. Besides the duo, the film features Emraan Hashmi, Esha Gupta, Vidyut Jammwal and Sanjay Mishra.
This is the second time Emraan Hashmi and Ajay Devgn have collaborated with Milan Luthria after 2010 gangster drama Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai, that turned out to be a commercial success.
In an interview to a leading daily, Luthria said that it was okay if people related to OUATIM after watching Baadshaho. The film releases on September 1.”One was a gangster film about the rise and fall of two gangsters, this (‘Baadshaho’) is an action drama film about the six main characters and the heist that takes place against the backdrop of 1975 Emergency period,” the director was quoted by Indian Express as saying.
