Baadshaho Box Office: Ajay Devgn's film does well and would emerge as a hit

Baadshaho continues to do well at the Box Office even on the weekdays and would emerge a hit for Ajay Devgn, Emraan Hashmi and the entire team

Baadshaho has done well at the Box Office in India as the film raked in approximately Rs 6.12 crore on Tuesday, taking the five day collection of the film to Rs 56.24 crore.

The movie is going strong at mass centers like Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Gujarat, and the trend till date has proved that the film has found acceptance from its target audience. The collection on Tuesday was boosted by a partial holiday in Mumbai on account of Ganpati Visarjan. The film is now looking to end its first week with collection close to Rs 66 crore.

While the multiplexes are on the lower side, the film seems to have inclined the audience towards single screens across the country, which would result in very good footfalls since the ticket prices in the mass areas would be on the lower side.

Day Wise Box Office:

  • Opening Weekend: Rs 43.30 crore
  • Monday: Rs 6.82 crore
  • Tuesday: Rs 6.12 crore
  • Total: Rs 56.24 crore

The film was received with outright negative critic reviews, however the collection have a different story to say. The All India Distribution rights were sold for approximately Rs 42 crore and the film would break even for the distributors at collection close to Rs 80 crore in India. Given the trend so far, the distributors would be in plus thereby ensuring a hit tag for the film.

2017 might turn out to be a great year for Ajay Devgn as he has another release in the form of Golmaal Again, which is predicted to be one of the biggest money spinners of the year.

PS: The above numbers have been claimed by the producers. According to our trade sources, the five day collection of Baadshaho stands between Rs 48 to 50 crore, which is still a good result.
