S.S. Rajamlouli’s Baahubali 2 has broken all the records to be on the top of the box office game. The film has not only surpassed the collections of its prequel but has also left behind the blockbusters like Sultan and Dangal. Baahubali: The conclusion was the most awaited film of this year and its grandeur knows no limits. From movie sets to its VFX and CGI, everything is larger than life.
The film released in 6500 screens in India and over 9000 screens across the world. It won’t be wrong to say that the film has conquered India and is receiving a great response internationally. Baahubali 2 has completely redefined the Indian cinema and has set the standards really high, both in terms of filmmaking and box office collections.
So far, Baahubali 2 has done a business of Rs 41 crore on Friday, Rs 42 crore on Saturday and Rs 46 crore on Sunday, minting a total of Rs 129 crore so far from the Hindi version. In fact, it has become the first film ever to score three back to back 40 crore days.
Not only this, the Tamil version of Baahubali: The Conclusion is doing exceptionally well internationally. While the film has crossed Rs 64 crore in North America, its Tamil version has earned Rs 2.47 crore in Australia and Rs 1.61 crore in the UK in its opening weekend.
Also, the Hindi version has earned Rs 4.04 crore in Australias, Rs 1.33 crore in New Zealand and Rs 1.62 crore in the UK. Going by the current figures, here’s a detailed breakup of the film’s overall collections of Rs 540 crores:
