SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2 is on a money-spinning spree. The film, which had released on April 28 has so far collected close to Rs 1500 crore at the Box Office worldwide. Jointly produced by Shobu Yarlagadda, Kovelamudi Raghavendra Rao and Prasad Devineni, the film is a sequel to the 2015 blockbuster Baahubali: The Beginning.
Recently, there were reports that Baahubali: The Conclusion may face ban in Pakistan due to the depiction of Hindu mythology and religious references. However, much to the delight of the makers and fans of Baahubali, the film received clean ‘U’ status from Pakistan Censor Board and has already started minting money at the Pakistan Box Office.
According to the latest updates, the Hindi dubbed version of Baahubali 2 has been screened over 100 cinemas across the Pakistan and has already collected Rs 4.50 crore till Wednesday. The film is looking to finish its final run with collections over Rs 6 crore. If it happens, it will be a rare feat for the SS Rajamouli film as generally the Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan films get such response at the Pakistan Box Office. The massive response for Baahubali 2 will definitely help the upcoming content-driven films of Indian cinema to do good business at the Pakistan Box Office.
Baahubali 2 features Telugu superstar Prabhas in dual roles, as the father-son duo – Amrendra Baahubali and Mahendra Baahubali. The film stars Anushka Shetty in the female lead and also have an ensemble star cast including Rana Daggubati, Sathyaraj, Ramya Krishnan, Nassar and Tamannaah Bhatia.
