The much awaited film of 2017, Baahubali: The Conclusion is slated to release tomorrow. Directed by SS Rajamouli and jointly produced by Shobu Yarlagadda, Kovelamudi Raghavendra Rao and Prasad Devineni, the war drama is a sequel to the 2015 blockbuster Baahubali: The Beginning. Baahubali 2 features Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia in lead roles.
While the film is just a few hours away for its grand theatrical release, Baahubali 2 has set another record for the makers. InUth had previously reported that Baahubali 2 is all set to take an earth shattering record at the Box Office.
And now, BookMyShow, India’s leading ticketing portal has revealed a great news for the makers.
According to BookMyShow, more than 1 million Baahubali 2 tickets have already been sold. It’s a remarkable feat considering that the film has no Bollywood superstar acting in it. Also, this unbelievable record was set within a span of 24 hours. The Prabhas, Rana starrer has also surpassed the ticket sales record set by the 2016 Aamir Khan blockbuster Dangal upon its release.
Meanwhile, Karan Johar, the Hindi distributor of Baahubali 2 has decided to cancel the Mumbai premiere of their most awaited film. The premiere was earlier scheduled to be held at Thursday night in Mumbai. The makers had decided to postpone the film following the sad demise of legendary Bollywood actor Vinod Khanna on Thursday afternoon.
The war drama also stars Sathyaraj, Ramya Krishnan, Anushka Shetty and Nassar.
