Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan's starrer Badrinath Ki Dulhania releases today in the theatres. Here is what the critics have to say about the love story

Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan are coming back for the third time with their romantic saga Badrinath Ki Dulhania. The movie is said to be one of the most anticipated movies of the year. The movie explores the lives of Varun Dhawan  (Badrinath Bansal) and Alia Bhatt (Vaidehi) who hail from Jhansi and Kota respectively. They fall in love but circumstances and ideological differences seep into their love story to make the matters worse for them. The story is about how their love tries to fight against all the odds.

Alia and Varun makes a lovely pair on-screen but did their sizzling chemistry sparkled this time or it fizzled out completely? The critics have spoken and we are here with Badrinath Ki Dulhania critic review:

As per the reviews on Gulf News, the critics liked the screenplay of the film. The dazzling chemistry between Alia and Varun Dhawan is palpable and cute. Gulf News has appreciated the hard work put in by director Shashank Khaitan for bringing such a sweet romantic love story to the forefront with a panache. Issues like dowry system have been highlighted well by the director who ensures that the movie stays simple and lovable throughout.

The critics of Masala.com has called Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt’s Badrinath Ki Dulhania a complete package. According to them, the film has a decent amount of humour and the chemistry between the leads which will definitely spread a charm on the audience.

The situations are funny and they will leave the audience in splits especially the hilarious exchanges between Alia and Varun. For instance, where Varun learns and recites the Simple Interest formula to impress Alia’s character. Alia and Varun’s performance is being called as top-notch.

 

However, Masala.com also stated:

Badrinath… stretches post interval and the much-awaited Tamma Tamma Loge song appears towards the end.
