Bareilly Ki Barfi has taken a slow start at the Box-Office as the film recorded occupancy in the range of 10 to 15% in the morning and afternoon shows. The Ayushmann Khurrana – Kriti Sanon – Rajkummar Rao film is carrying positive audience reports and the biz is expected to pick up from the evening shows. The opening of Bareilly Ki Barfi is similar to this years’ sleeper hit, Hindi Medium, however it would be interesting to see if this romantic comedy manages to show a similar trend at the Box Office.
Given the start, the movie is looking at an opening day number in the Rs 1.5 to 2.5 crore range with majority of business coming from multiplex dominated centers like Mumbai and Delhi. Despite a small town feel, the movie hasn’t opened quite well at the mass centers and the reason for same is lack of face value as people in the interiors prefer to watch star-driven films.
Akshay Kumar’s Toilet: Ek Prem Katha remains steady at the Box-Office on its eighth day and the collections of the social comedy would be more than the combined collections of Annabelle and Bareilly Ki Barfi. The film would cross the Rs 100 crore mark at the Box Office on Friday thereby becoming the fifth consecutive film for Akshay Kumar to attain the feat. The movie is looking to collect approximately Rs 3.5 to 4.5 crore on its second Friday.
Annabelle has taken a decent start at the Box Office in India with occupancy close to 25%. The film has opened well at the multiplexes all across and the opening day biz is expected to be a little higher than Bareilly Ki Barfi. The movie is expected to collect in the range of Rs 3 to 4 crore on its opening day.
