Commando 2 Box Office collection Day 2: Vidyut Jammwal film crosses lifetime business of first installment overseas

Though Vidyut Jammwal's Commando 2 is not showing any signs of improvement at the domestic market, it is doing really well overseas

Vidyut Jammwal’s Commando 2 received mixed reviews from the audience and the film critics and had a shaky start at the box office. The film is the second installment of Commando which also featured Vidyut in the lead role four years back.

The film released this Friday and brings back Vidyut as Captain Karanvir Singh, who’s mission this time is to bring back black money stashed abroad. Just like the first installment, Commando 2 is full of action and will is a treat for all the action film lovers.

Commando 2 did a business of Rs 5.14 crore on Friday and Rs 4.42 crore on Saturday, minting a total of Rs 9.56 crore so far. The movie was in competition with Hugh Jackman’s Logan and surpassed its collection on day one of its India release.

On day two of its release, the film showed no signs of growth and the collections dipped from 5.14 crore to 4.42 crore, giving a lead to Logan which now stands at 10.50 crore in India. Though the film is not showing any signs of improvement at the domestic market, it is doing really well overseas.

Trade Analyst Joginder Tuteja took to Twitter and confirmed that Commando 2 has crossed the lifetime collection of the first installment on day one of its release in the international market. He tweeted:

#Commando2 crossed lifetime business of #Commando in overseas markets on Day 1…grosses 230 K USD.
