Deepika Padukone miffed with being compared to Priyanka Chopra; calls it bizarre

While Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra are busy making India proud at the international platform, we are busy pitting these two actresses against each other. Both Deepika and Priyanka are being constantly compared either for their similar fashion tastes or for promoting their Hollywood flicks on the same shows.

Priyanka made her mark globally with Quantico and Deepika made direct entry to Hollywood with xXx: Return of Xander Cage opposite Vin Diesel. In fact, PeeCee was even trolled for her blink and miss appearance in her Hollywood debut Baywatch trailer as compared to Deepika’s hefty screen time in xXx trailer.

Not just that, the comparisons between the two just doesn’t seem to stop and it is quite upsetting for both Deepika and Priyanka. Also, PeeCee and DP have clarified it many times before at various occasions that their no competition between them and they are just doing their thing.

But it seems like Deepika is in no mood to take such news seriously and she is really miffed with all the questions which are being asked to her about the so-called competition with Priyanka Chopra. According to a report in DNA, the actress was asked about how she feels on being compared with PeeCee and Deepika Padukone immediately termed it as ‘bizarre’. She said:

At a personal level, I know Priyanka very well for any sort of comparisons. It feels weird on being compared to her because our worlds are totally distinct. What she wants to achieve and what she is working towards is different from what I am doing. Her demands and requirements are completely different from mine.

She further added:

I can still understand comparisons with Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma or Sonakshi Sinha or someone who entered the industry at the same time as I did, but I can’t seem to wrap my head around comparisons with Priyanka.

Well, we think now people have got their answer and let’s hope we never get to read about Deepika and Priyanka’s rumoured competition again.
